Wear safety glasses to avoid any gas splashing into your eyes. If you don't have a drain cock on your gas tank, move on to Step 3.

Dec 01, 2017 · Find a sheet metal screw of about 1/8" diameter, and an "O" ring to fit that screw. Drill a hole in the lowest part of the tank and drain out the gas. Put the screw with the O ring in the hole and tighten it down. That is the method I have used many times to drain water from a gas tank. Never had one fail.
